A.    Measure the width and height of your garage opening ... typically a one-car opening is 18x7 and a two-car garage opening is 16 x 7.

Q.    What size motor should be installed to open my garage door?

A.    We suggest a minimum 1/3 horsepower motor be installed on 8x7 doors and 1/2 horsepower motors be used on 16x7 doors.
